Mentor Safety Town Cancelled for 2021
Due to the ongoing COVID pandemic, we regret to announce that Mentor Safety Town is cancelled for 2021. The health of the children, teachers and volunteers are our top priority and we feel the potential risks outweigh the benefits of the program.
Check back with us in the Spring of 2022 for registration information!
Safety Town is an awareness program to teach young children safety while providing parents with peace of mind. The program includes classes on fire safety, stranger danger, poison prevention, and an outside mini town with instructions on pedestrian/traffic/bike rules. Registration is open to children ages four (as of June 1, 2020), five and six years old.
Safety Town questions can be directed to our Safety Town Coordinator at firstname.lastname@example.org
The program is presented by the Junior Women’s Club in partnership with the Mentor Fire and Police Departments along with the Mentor Public Library and The Mentor School System.
This successful program in safety and education for Lake County children is directed and taught by caring and experienced local state board teachers.
Safety Town is offered for two weeks in the summer and each session is 5 days. Morning, afternoon and evening sessions are offered.
